Art. Films. Culture.
The word kutoohala derives from Sanskrit meaning curiosity, eagerness, or inquisitiveness. It signifies the quest for knowledge and a drive to explore and discover. This very curiosity is what drives us. Founded by Phalgunn Maharishi and Ranjitha Moorthy, Kutoohala was born from a simple belief: the world needs more authentic stories.
We are a Creative & Cultural Media Lab building bridges between communities by blending art, culture, and creativity with technology. From producing impactful documentary films to building innovative digital platforms, our work is designed to inspire connection and conversation.
We are cultural messengers!
We delve into the art of storytelling through ethnographic documentaries and indie cinema. Our latest film explores the journey of Yakshagana artists in Germany, capturing the essence of a vibrant culture finding a new stage. It’s a story of art, identity, and the timeless echoes of tradition in a modern world. We create films that are not just seen, but felt.
